I’ve been shooting weddings for a few years now & I can honestly say the strongest quality to have as a photographer is to know how to handle any situation or circumstance that gets thrown your way. I worked this wedding with Jessica Warhol & I can’t even describe the ridiculous techniques we had to maneuver in order to battle our shots against mother nature. I need to invent some sort of umbrella pack for photographers who need to shoot in the rain! ;) I’m quite surprised that the pouring rain isn’t visible in half of these images… but I guess that’s a good thing. Haha. All I have left to say about this wedding day is that Megan & Tad are champions!! The rain did not ruin their special day one bit… only the ceremony site ;) But their focus was on the love they have for one another & that is exactly how they reacted to the rain! I haven’t been married, but I think I have enough experience to say that it is so important to push little mishaps aside on such a memorable day. Their wedding took place at a private Ranch in Newport Beach. It was the most beautiful location & the rain almost made it a little more enchanting. Of course, the former Laker Girl Megan looked stunning to say the least! Alriiggghht, so did Tad! They were such an adorable couple to photograph & work with!
Because the rain was clearly on it’s way, we all chose to do a “First Look” with Megan & Tad in order to get all the bridal party shots done before the storm came in. It was the best decision we ever made! Plus I believe the shots came out absolutely breath taking. Tad was to anxious too follow the “rules” & kept trying to sneak the first peak….. He didn’t win!
I thought it was so cool that they used their childhood photographs for each of the table number settings!
Before the reception I noticed how grounds were glowing & couldn’t help but steal Tad & Megan for a little bit.
…..Did I mention how outgoing they were?
